Is your child struggling in school?

Is she behind her peers academically?

Does he have trouble with reading & comprehension?

Many children struggle in one way or another at school. Some kids take longer to pick up certain skills. Others simply need more individualized instruction and repetition to learn the basic skills. Many kids can master those skills at school with the help of teachers and additional assistance that the school has to offer.

However, some kids need additional assistance outside of school hours to truly learn and master the skills necessary to succeed in school. They need one-on-one instruction to learn what comes easily to others. Some students find reading easily, but they cannot comprehend math skills. Other students struggle with reading and comprehension but seem to have other academic skills mastered.

There is hope!

If your child is struggling with reading, math, or other academic skills, you are not alone. Many children struggle with school work from time to time. For some children, this is a temporary struggle. For other children, they need long-term assistance to learn basic reading and math skills.

No matter where your child is on this academic spectrum, there is hope!

Few opportunties in this area

Our agency has worked with children and families for over three decades. Recently, there has been an increase in the number of parents searching for academic or learning assistance. It has been challenging to find good resources to refer our clients to, so we decided to begin offering tutoring services through our agency.

We have been able to fill a mental health need in Southern Indiana for many years and now we have found another need that needs to be filled.

What we have to offer

We offer individualized instruction provided by licensed teachers to meet students where they are and help them grow! At the present time, we are able to offer services to students from Kindergarten through the fourth grade. We are hoping to be able to offer tutoring services for older students in the future, but we are unable to at the present time.

Currently, we are offering two separate services.

Tutoring: Individualized Instruction

Our tutoring program is run by teachers who are licensed in the state of Indiana. The teacher will meet with you and your student individually to determine where your child is academically. This is completely individualized instruction. You will set goals with the teacher that meet your child’s needs to best assist your child with learning. Our tutoring program can help your child with whatever area they are struggling in.

Feel free to email with any questions you may have.

Rethink Reading: Individualized Dyslexia Instruction

Rethink Reading: Individualized Dyslexia Instruction is more specialized than our typical tutoring opportunities. Like our regular tutoring program, it is individually focused. However, this program is run by a licensed teacher who is an Authorized Reading Specialist trained in Dyslexia*. This program follows the Orton Gillingham approach.

Our Rethink Reading: Individualized Dyslexia Instruction program focuses on teaching children that have specific reading disorders, such as dyslexia, to read and comprehend. Unlike our regular tutoring program, our Rethink Reading program only focuses on reading and comprehension. Since reading is the basis for most areas of academic success, the focus is on improving reading for those students that struggle the most with reading and comprehension.

Feel free to email with any questions you may have.

Proof of dyslexia or reading disorder diagnosis is not required.
